We received the following message:
“My dog is a rescue. We found her on the streets severly emaciated and all together unhealthy so we nursed her back to health and took her in as our own. Although she is super sweet and just loves to be loved, we have had increasing problems with dog aggression and she has lunged at children and is very fearful of men. Her trust of new people isn’t very high as well. I have been looking into trying to have her be taken in by a rehabilitation center where she can be re-trained and balanced due to the fact that I can no longer keep her. My mother was recently re-diagnosed with breast cancer, and we need to move closer to LA to be near her doctors. That being said we can not take her with us unfortunately. I know this is not a rehabilitation center but if you have any information on where I could possibly find lodging for her I would appreciate it. I have tried contacting the CM center but have not heard back which is understandable. I dont want to take her to the pound because I know she will be euthanized and I couldn’t live with that…I love her dearly and its already difficult to think of not having her with me. But I simply can not put my dog before my family’s needs any longer.”
Unfortunately people still believe that sending the dog away is going to solve the problem… guess they watch too much TV.
